See you "next year" with new recipes. I've had some requests for healthy soups, stews, and casseroles, and since I got laid off I'll have plenty of time to develop some new ones! Have a safe New Years Eve!!
It's hard to believe it's the end of 2012! Looking back on this year's recipes was a lot of fun, and it was hard to pick my favorites because many of these are things that I've been eating for years. It's also interesting to see how my photography has progressed in the past year, especially since I got my "nice" camera. I hope all of you have a happy and safe New Year's Eve and new year! In no particular order, here are my favorites: Buffalo Chicken Dip. My mother in-law introduced this dip to me a couple of years ago, and I'm in love with it. I cannot get enough. Chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, and ranch dressing. It's incredible! Sourdough Cheddar Rolls. I make these a lot. The sharp cheddar contrasts nicely with the tang from the sourdough. They're a great addition to any meal. Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls. Seriously, these are absolutely incredible. I've made dozens of these in the past month, and everyone has been over the moon about them. Oh, and the sauce on top? To. Die. For. It's a brown butter cinnamon rum sauce. I could eat it with a spoon. Actually, I have eaten it with a spoon. Irish French Toast. Who wants French toast with Bailey's in it? I do! It has the sweet creamy hint of Bailey's, but it's not overly sweet or strong. Peanut Butter Cookie Cup Brownies. Peanut butter cookie. Peanut butter cup. Brownie. Perfection. Snickerdoodle Bars. Do you ever see a recipe and make it the same day? That's what I did with these, and then I had to give the pan away because I was going to devour them all. They're soft, chewy, and full of cinnamon. Strawberry Mango Mojito. I drank these all summer long, and I'm looking forward to them next year, too. Fresh strawberries, brown sugar, mint, and mango rum. Can't go wrong there! Mushroom Beef Stroganoff. This is one of our favorite cold-weather meals. We often say that we should eat it every week, but we never really do. It's creamy, warm, and comforting. Mexican Shredded Beef. I make a big batch of this every couple of months, and freeze the rest. It's great for tacos, quesadillas, and quesochangas. Apple Streusel Pie. I adore this pie. I've made close to 20 of these in the last couple of months, and I want to eat every one. Think of a giant oatmeal cookie on top of an apple pie.

Welcome!Cooking is fun and easy at high altitude, but baking can be frustrating. About 90% of my recipes work everywhere, but some are adjusted so us mountain dwellers can enjoy baked goods from scratch. I hope you find great recipes on here for your family, and I'll let you know if any are adjusted for high altitude. Stay Updated!
