So This Happened Today...

Why yes, that is 5.5 pounds of Callebaut chocolate chips on the parking lot next to the car.

I cried a little inside. Not because it was a waste of money or because I had to buy a new bag (thankfully the store replaced it) but because that is amazeballs chocolate that is gone. Forever. The bag split, and I actually screeched when that happened and the chocolate started spilling everywhere. I screeched. Out loud. For all to hear. And I don't care.

I went to a restaurant supply store today with my business partner, and we were in heaven for about 2 hours. It was pure joy. The restaurant supply stores that I've been to previously have been super fun with their bakery boxes and frosting tips and measuring cups, but this one was different. This one was food based, and I loved looking at everything and dreaming about the possibilities. It was like Sam's Club on crack. Delicious crack. One of my favorite purchases was a 50 pound bag of cake flour! I didn't know it was possible to get it in large batches without making your own. That's going to save us so much time and money!! Happy dance. I almost felt like grabbing her hands and jumping up and down in a circle.

In other news, I realize that I am a freak of nature. But that's ok. I'm completely fine with it. In fact, I'm pretty thrilled!

This might just be my favorite post of yours. I can relate to the sheer excitement of being surrounded by what you love and imagining all the glorious possibilities. We need more geeks in the world, so keep geeking out on your passion!

Okay, you bake, you are in Colorado, and you use real chocolate. You also know that that cupcake in your photo near the article on adjusting a cake for high altitude is not done properly...do you possibly SELL any baked goods in the springs area?

Because I'm dying here. Not that I don't like to bake, but it would be nice to buy a decent loaf of bread or a cake that doesn't make me sad.

Thanks! It's definitely a challenge here! I do have a bakery, and we deliver. :) www.whippedbakerycolorado.com.
