If you make this easy pie crust recipe
, you probably will have some leftover dough. Instead of throwing it away or eating it while standing over the kitchen sink (no one does this, right? Right?), I suggest you make cinnamon crispies. This recipe is from my childhood. My parents would make these with any leftover pie dough or sometimes even make a batch of pie dough just for cinnamon crispies. Watch out, they're addicting. You can make these while your pie is baking and have it for another dessert or a very indulgent breakfast.
Combine the scraps and roll out.
Spread softened butter over the dough, and sprinkle a generous amount of cinnamon sugar over the butter.
Roll up the dough.
Cut into a few large pieces (depending on how much dough you have). Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until browned, and let cool before eating. Cinnamon Crispies
